Integrative judo at the TSV Hertha Walheim! In 2010, the sport association started a regular judo course in which persons with and without handicaps can learn and practice this sport together without forgetting to have some fun in the process.

Help that matters in Aachen! The Aachener Engel have been supporting persons suffering from cancer, the victims of accidents, abuse, violence of social injustice since 2005. Since 2009, a free sport program and education program is being offered as well.

Founded in 1997, this charity develops and supports initiatives, models and projects that improve the healthcare for poor and socially disadvantaged persons, and in particular the homeless.

Doctors without Borders provides medical emergency aid in crisis and war zones as well as after natural disasters around the world. This international organisation provides quick, efficient and unbureaucratic help - without asking about the origin, religion or political views of the affected persons.

Aachener Tafel helps fight hunger in social hotspots in the city of Aachen. Since its founding in 1998, many helpers have contributed to this good cause. Persons from different cultures and age groups – pupils, students, workers, pensioners, unemployed and many others – volunteer for the Tafel.

The Tierschutzverein für Aachen und Umgebung e.V. was founded in 1930 and renamed "Tierschutzverein für die StädteRegion Aachen e.V." on 1 January 2010. The association considers it its predominant task to spread the idea of animal protection with all suitable means in order to protect the animals of the world from inappropriate living conditions, abuse and torment.
