Flexible thermal insulation (PCW) for application temperatures up to 1600°C

ITM-Fibermax® is the flexible version of the thermal insulation for electrically heated laboratory and industrial furnaces with application temperatures up to 1600°C. Made of polycrystalline mullite/alumina wool (PCW), this product is available as a raw material in the form of wool and needled blankets. The material is a very good substitution material for ceramic-fibre materials (RCF). It is particularly suitable for temperatures above 1250°C and applications that require a very high chemical resistance.

Wool is used as a raw material for production of vacuum-formed shapes and insulation boards. Blankets needled on both sides are an indispensable part in module production.

Your benefits with ITM-Fibermax®:

  • Shot-free and free of ceramic-fibre (RCF-free)
  • Long service life due to low shrinkage
  • Perfect thermal stability and thermal shock resistance
  • Low heat conductivity
  • Outstanding corrosion resistance

The needled blankets are available in thicknesses of 12.5mm and 25mm. We supply densities of 100kg/m³ and 130kg/m³.
