ITM-Fibermax^® 1,600 is an optimal product for thermal insulation of combustion-heated industrial furnaces up to 1,600°C. This product is available as wool, needled blanket and module and made of high quality polycrystalline (PCW) mullite/AI₂O₃ wool. The needled blankets can be used as primary material for the production of modules. Bulk wool is used as a raw material in the production of vacuum formed shapes and boards.

ITM-Fibermax^® 1,600 is a genuine alternative to conventional amorphous ceramic fibers. The product is characterized by large energy savings and temperature resistance up to 1,600°C (1,650°C). Further advantages are long service life, achieved through extremely low shrinkage and very high resilience. They are also shot-free and polycrystalline (PCW) mullite/AI₂O₃ wool is not classified in Europe. The standard version of ITM-Fibermax^® 1,600 has an AI₂O₃ content of 72%. The aluminum oxide content of the custom products is 95%.
