Glassman Europe Premiere: MoSi2 Heating Elements Made in Germany - High Temperature Technology from M.E.SCHUPP for Glass Industry

Aachen, April 2009. M.E.SCHUPP Industriekeramik GmbH & Co. KG, provider of key components for high temperature furnaces, will showcase electric heating elements from MoSi2 for melting furnaces up to 1,850° from its own production at the trade show for the glass industry Glassman Europe, (Lyon, May 13 – 14, 2009) booth 14. The heating elements, available under the trade name Molycom®-Ultra, have already been manufactured in Aachen since early last year. Thus M.E.SCHUPP® is the only manufacturer of MoSi2 heating elements in Germany and the second one in Europe. In Lyon, the worldwide acting provider of high-temperature components introduces the heating elements „Made in Germany“ for electrically operated melting furnaces and tanks for laboratory and industrial applications to the French market. On this occasion MolyCom® applications for the glass industry will be showcased in practice. This also includes integrated packet solutions such as M.E.SCHUPP®-MolyTec heating modules consisting of MolyCom® heating elements and AL2O3 insulation boards or complete furnace modules manufactured by M.E.SCHUPP® upon customer’s order.
Further to the premiere product M.E.SCHUPP® presents in Lyon the entire product portfolio for assembly and operation of glass melting facilities. At the booth, visitors will find components and materials from the Glassman product ranges fire proof materials, feeder technology, glass melting furnace technology, electrically heated systems and insulating material.
LyonGlassman Europe is the leading exhibition of industrial–scale primary glassmaking equipment and service. The International Glass Manufacturing Exhibition has been serving the industry for 20 years, visiting many regions of the world including Asia, Europe, India, USA and South America.

With its production site in Aachen M.E.Schupp® offers the European glass industry a second source for MoSi2 heating elements. As „Made-in-Germany“ products they stand for continuous high quality, measured in electric heating elements related to criteria such as constant electric resistance, homogenous maximum temperature, high thermo shock resistance and a long life cycle. The production compliant with established industrial standards allows for the side by side use of new and old elements side by side and the simultaneous operation of Molycom®-Ultra and heating modules from other vendors.
Molycom®-Ultra is manufactured in all diameters from 3/6 mm to 12/24 mm up to a length of 2 meters. The hot bending technology, worldwide only mastered by a few manufacturers, allows for realization of complex heating element geometries upon customer request.
