M.E.SCHUPP®-UltraSetter

Fibrous light weight Ceramic Firing Setters & Saggars from 1,200°C up to 1,700°C

M.E. Schupp - UltraSetter

M.E.SCHUPP®-UltraSetter is a new concept in the field of setters for sintering ceramic capacitors, other electrical ceramic components, dental ceramic furnaces (zirconia parts) and the PM (Powder Metallurgy Industry).
This material, developed by using advanced technology, is mainly composed of alumina silicate short fibers and sintered at high temperature. It has a maximum operational temperature of 1700°C. It can stand up to rapid heating and cooling cycles and has an extremely fine and smooth surface. It has a very low heat capacity, an excellent flatness and small surface warpage.
Depending on the forming method employed, many different product shapes can be manufactured.

The light weight M.E.SCHUPP®-UltraSetter is a unique product that allows excellent debinding of organic binders and shows high resistance to heat shock and to spalling and also high dimensional accuracy.
It is easy to machine and meets the requirements for cost reduction through automation of firing process and firing time reduction by accelerating the debinding process. In addition to the conventional flat board type,
setters with supports, grooves and holes are available.

M.E.SCHUPP®-PlatinCeram

Advanced Glass & Metal Melting Ceramic Crucibles up to 1,900°C

M.E. Schupp - UltraSetter

M.E.SCHUPP®-PlatinCeram is a special product for the special glass and super metal melting industry made by plasma sputtering technology. PlatinCeram has a high Thermal Shock Resistance (TSR). It is a super strong and light weight crucible based on Advanced Technology.
Plasma Sputtering Technology provides the following performance: resistance to thermal shock, controlled porosity, thin wall thickness, gas tightness, stability and precision of the ceramic body without additional processing, high resistance to aluminium slags.

It is possible to combine platinum crucibles with the plasma sputtering technology. This composite crucible allows the manufacturer to realize a lower consumption of platinum up to 80%. Here you can limit the thickness of the platinum layer to approx. 0.3mm.
