MoSi2-Heizelemente „Made in Germany“ für den Mittleren Osten und Afrika - M.E.SCHUPP präsentiert auf GlassWorld in Kairo Schlüsselkomponenten für Hochtemperatur–Ofenanlagen bis 1.850°C

Aachen, in April 2010. The M.E.SCHUPP Industriekeramik GmbH & Co. KG, Aachen, continues its “world tour” for the international launch of its key components for high-temperature systems up to 1,850 °C. After fairs and marketing campaigns in Japan, China and India, the next station is Glassworld 2010 in Cairo from 13th to 15th May 2010. The fair in the capital city of Egypt is the leading fair of this industry for the Middle East and Africa.

M.E.SCHUPP shows in Cairo the complete product portfolio for electrical heating, for thermal insulation, for ceramic control of temperature and firing conditions, and for the economical operation of glass-melting plants.
The focus of the stall A21 at the fair will be on own developed and produced electrical heating elements made of MoSi2, which are used in glass melting furnaces. Under the brand name of MolyCom®-Ultra, M.E.SCHUPP is producing the heating elements since 2008 in Aachen. The company is thus the only manufacturer of MoSi2 heating elements in Germany and one of the two in Europe.

In addition to this, M.E.SCHUPP will display insulation boards and molded parts up to 1,850°C and needle mats (blankets up to 1,650°C) made of polycrystalline aluminum oxide Mullite-wool. Along with the excellent insulation properties for high-temperature applications in the glass industry, these products are also characterized by a long life, low shrinkage and high resistance to temperature fluctuations.

With its production site in Aachen M.E.Schupp® offers the European glass industry a second source for MoSi2 heating elements. As „Made-in-Germany“ products they stand for continuous high quality, measured in electric heating elements related to criteria such as  constant electric resistance, homogenous maximum temperature, high thermo shock resistance and a long life cycle. The production compliant with established industrial standards allows for the side by side use of new and old elements and the simultaneous operation of Molycom®-Ultra and heating modules from other vendors.
Molycom®-Ultra is manufactured in all diameters from 3/6 mm to 12/24 mm up to a length of 2 meters. The hot bending technology, worldwide only mastered by a few manufacturers, allows for realization of complex heating element geometries upon customer request.

M.E.SCHUPP®-UltraBoards (insulation boards) and UltraVacs (molded parts and cylinder) are solid high-temperature insulation materials that are easy to process. They are made from polycrystalline aluminum oxide mullite or wool, special high-quality fillers and pure, ceramic bonding agents. They possess a high bending rupture strength under high temperatures, have a low gross density, are very resistant to temperature fluctuations and show extremely low shrinkage values. They are used as covers for laboratory and industrial furnaces for quick heating and cooling, such as in electrical high-temperature furnaces from 1,250 °C to 1,850 °C.
M.E.SCHUPP®-ITM-FIBERMAX® blankets, mats, wool and modules are light-weight and flexible insulation materials, which are also made from mullite & aluminum oxide (72% or 95%). They are suitable for temperatures up to 1,650 °C in gas-heated furnaces. The components do not contain any organic bonding agents or other additives. They can also be used under special, controlled furnace atmospheres.
